Stripped-back grooves, understated percussion, and a lot of repetition borrowed from early European house and minimal. It's built for rooms that want depth rather than drops.
Both jobs come down to sequencing.
A three-hour set and a complex workflow have the same problem: what you show first, what you hold back, how long you let something build before you resolve it, and how much you can cut before it stops making sense. The beginner move in both is putting everything good up front.
